Device Not Powering On
If, after enabling REbus from the inverter, the PWRcell
Battery cabinet status light is not illuminating, this likely
indicates that the BMU is not powering on from REbus.
1. Check that the inverter DC disconnect is on and
inverter REbus output voltage is present.
a. Use a digital multimeter (DMM) to measure the
DC voltage at the REbus power terminals (red
probe on RE+ and black probe on RE-). The
measured voltage should be between 360 V
and 420 V.
b. This should match the voltage displayed on the
inverter home screen.
2. Check REbus input voltage on battery terminal
block.
a. Use a DMM to measure the DC voltage at the
REbus power terminals (red probe on RE+ and
black probe on RE-). The measured voltage
should be between 360 V and 420 V.

b. If REbus voltage is not at least 360 V:
(1) Confirm that the DC breaker in the inverter
is in the ON position.
(2) Confirm that the REbus fuses at the
inverter are not blown (use DMM to verify
resistance of fuse is less than 1 Ω).
(3) Check wiring from battery cabinet to
inverter.
c. If REbus voltage is correct:
(1) Verify device shows up on inverter screen.
– If device shows up and can be enabled
there is likely an issue with the indicator
light and/or its connector.
– Check REbus connector from battery ter-
minals (blue and red wires running
through blue ground current sensor) is
fully connected to BMU.
