A Programming Device (e.g., CX-Programmer or CX-Designer) can be con-
nected to the USB port or serial port A or B, which are on the Display Section.
The serial ports on the Display Section have the same functionality as the
ports on an NS-series PT. They can also be connected to a barcode reader,
temperature controller, or other external device when a Programming Device
is not connected.
Serial port C, which is on the Controller Section, has the same functionality as
the RS-232C port on a CJ1-H CPU Unit with unit version 3.0. It can be con-
nected using Host Link, NT Link, no-protocol, or Serial Gateway (CompoWay/
F devices) protocols. Device master functionality is provided as a standard
feature, so I/O can be controlled using a DeviceNet network within the restric-
tions of the network communications cycle.
