Alarm Messages

This section lists the Alarm messages that can be triggered by the system, to
alert you to potential or impending problems with the analyzer.
When an alarm is triggered, the alarm message is displayed on the on the
third and fourth line of the built-in LCD display screen. Alarm names (Condi-
tions), Descriptions, and Corrective Action to take to correct the alarm, are also
included.
Alarm Condition / Description / Corrective Action
Flow Alarm
Flow Alarm (100 ±10 SCCM)
Corrective Action:
Check inlet and outlet pressure.
Contact AMETEK Service if problem persists.
Sensor Failure
Sample sensor hardware failure.
(Sensor frequency 250–10,000 Hz)
Corrective Action:
Replace Sensor.
Contact AMETEK Service if problem persists.
Oven Temperature Alarm
Oven temperature out of tolerance (60, ±0.1 °C).
Corrective Action:
This may occur during start-up until the oven warms up.
Contact AMETEK Service if problem persists.
Reference Gas Alarm
Problem with the reference gas detected. (Δf < -0.002 Hz).
Corrective Action:
Zero analyzer. Check and/or replace Purifier.
Contact AMETEK Service if problem persists.
Low Battery Alarm
Low battery voltage detected.
Corrective Action:
Battery has to be replaced.
Contact AMETEK Service if problem persists.
