Digital Input/Output and Analog Input
1. Select the device in Remote Manager and click Actions > Open Console, or log into the IX30
local command line as a user with full Admin access rights.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type admin to access the Admin CLI.
2. At the command line, type config to enter configuration mode:
> config
(config)>
3. Add a remote server:
(config)> add io monitoring sever name
(config io monitoring server name)>
4. Set the hostname or IPv4 address of the server:
(config io monitoring server name)> address IPv4_address
(config io monitoring server name)>
5. Set the port on the remote server where the monitoring information should be sent:
(config io monitoring server name)> port port
(config io monitoring server name)>
6. Set the protocol:
(config io monitoring server name)> protocol value
(config io monitoring server name)>
where value is either tcp or udp. tcp is the default.
7. Set the interval, in seconds, that the device will use to upload I/O information to the remote
server:
(config io monitoring server name)> polling_period int
(config io monitoring server name)>
The default is one second.
8. Repeat for each additional remote server.
9. Save the configuration and apply the change:
(config io monitoring server name)> save
Configuration saved.

10. Type exit to exit the Admin CLI.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type quit to disconnect from the device.
