A security warning message may appear when
displaying the menu screen, but continue the
operation.
Signing out from the MLS Manager menu
Press the overflow button in the header area and select
[Sign Out] from the pull-down list.
Resetting the password of the default
user account
You can reset the password of the "admin" default user
account to the initial setting ("admin").
The password is reset using the display and buttons on the
front panel of the switcher.
For details about the display and buttons, see "Front
view" (page 59).

Press the [SELECT] button until the [MMgr Passwd
Rst] item appears on the display of the box running
MLS Manager.
The display item changes each time the [SELECT]
button is pressed.
Note
[MMgr Passwd Rst] is displayed only on the box
running MLS Manager.

Press the [SET] button.
An execution confirmation message appears.

Press the [SET] button.
The password is reset.
To cancel execution, press the [SELECT] button.
Shutting Down /
Rebooting
You can shut down and reboot the system in island units
or as switcher units.
Shutting Down All Switchers in an
Island

Open the MLS Manager Home > Power > Shutdown/
Reboot menu (66101.01).

Press [Shutdown Island].

Check the message, then press [OK].
Notes
• The cross-point box is also shut down.
• The connection between the MLS Manager menu and
MLS Manager is disconnected.
• The connections between the MLS-X1 menu and all
switchers are disconnected.

Shutting Down a Selected Switcher

Open the MLS Manager Home > Power > Shutdown/
Reboot menu (66101.01).

Select a switcher to shut down from the [Select
Logical Switcher] table.

Press [Shutdown Logical Switcher].

Check the message, then press [OK].
Notes
• If the switchers being shut down includes the box
running MLS Manager, the connection between the
MLS Manager menu and MLS Manager will be
disconnected. The connections between the switchers
being shut down and the MLS-X1 menu are also
disconnected.
• The cross-point box does not shut down.
