MLS Manager

Overview

MLS Manager is a high-level MLS-X1 system
management tool for managing the system configuration
of MLS-X1 boxes with ICP-X1000-series/X7000-series
control panels within islands of an MLS-X1 system and
for managing licenses.
MLS Manager runs on one MLS-X1 box among up to
five boxes in an island and mainly provides the following
functions.
• System configuration management
• License management
• Device monitoring via SNMP
• Data management
For details about setting the box to run MLS Manager,
see "Configuring MLS Manager Startup" (page 466).

Menu

The MLS Manager menu is a web browser-based
application.
The menu can be operated using the touch panel of a
computer (tablet or PC) connected to the MLS-X1 system
network. The menu can also be operated using a mouse.
In this manual, "press" is used to indicate a tap or click
operation of menu buttons.

• The operation of all computers that meet the following
environment is not guaranteed.
• Menu operation may be different or the menu may not
function correctly depending on the peripheral devices
used, such as mouse and keyboard.

• It is recommended that you connect using encrypted
communication (https://) when accessing the URL of
the menu.
• Operation cannot be guaranteed if there are five or more
tabs open in the browser.

Safari (latest version)
Number of sessions that can be connected
simultaneously:
Up to 16 sessions are supported. (If MLS Manager is
running on the primary box, up to 16 sessions
counting the MLS-X1 menu.)

Installing a Root Certificate

A root certificate must be installed on the computer in
order to use the menu.
Note
If a root certificate has been installed for the MLS-X1
menu, it does not need to be reinstalled.

Access the certificate download page.
Enter the URL of the certificate download page in a
browser.
"http://IP address of download page/doc/Certificate/"
Enter one of the following IP addresses of the box
running MLS Manager as the IP address of the
certificate download page.
• IP address displayed on the control panel display
• Standard interface 1 IP address set in the MLS
Manager Home > System > Island > Box Network
menu (60211.05).
It is set to "192.168.100.1" by default.
