Fork carriage emergency lowering

Is there is a malfunction e.g. affecting the
control valve, the fork carriage can be lowered
manually. The control valve block (3), which is
located under the floor plate for the pedals on
the right-hand side of the truck , is equipped
with an emergency lowering screw (1). This
is secured with a sealing collar nut (2) and
seal-locked.
NOTE
When the emergency lowering screw (1) is
released, this damages the sealing collar nut
(2) and the lock seal at the same time. When
the emergency lowering screw is tightened
again, a new sealing collar nut has to always
be used.
NOTE
Whenever emergency lowering is performed,
it is recommended afterwards fitting a com-
pletely new lowering screw with sealing collar
nut.
DANGER
During lowering no-one should remain in the area
of the fork arms .
During lowering do not remove the socket wrench
from the screw (1) on the valve block (3) so lowering
can be interrupted at any time.
Remove the rubber mat from the floor plate.
