Servicing
Inspection and maintenance as required
Remove battery plug (8) from battery socket
(9).
Move out battery socket (9) sideways to-
wards board contactor via hinge (10) and
secure in position.
WARNING
The use of impermissible C-hooks may result in
major damage and/or possibly even a risk of injury
to the driver.
For this reason only use C-hooks with the approp-
riate gear , which offer the permissible / sufficient
load bearing capacity and have been authorised by
the dealer . Please contact your authorised dealer.
Using a crane or another truck with C-hooks
(11) and lifting gear (12) carefully move into
position over the battery.
Insert the four hooks (15) into the openings
(13) of the battery tray (14) provided for this
purpose.
Carefully lift the battery, move slowly away
from the truck frame and set down at a safe
location.
Check the battery for leaking acid, cracked
housing or raised plates.
Check that battery plug / cable are in good
condition and leave battery in a safe place.
