Trouble-shooting instructions
Always start trouble-shooting with the checklist below, if faults occur after start-up or
during operation. This takes you directly (via various queries) to the cause of the prob-
lem and the appropriate remedial measures.
Check the display
No display visible and no
output signals present.
No display visible, but output
signals are present.
Display texts are in a foreign
language.
Measured value indicated,
but no signal at the current
or pulse output

Error messages on display
Errors that occur during commissioning or measuring are displayed immediately.
Error messages consist of a variety of icons. The meanings of these icons are as follows:
– Error type: S = system error, P = process error

– Error message type:
= fault message, ! = notice message
– S.VELOC RANGE = error designation (e.g. sound velocity outside measuring range)
– 03:00:05 = duration of error occurrence (in hours / minutes /seconds)
– # 491 = error number

displays them as information messages only.

1. Check whether the ribbon-cable connector of the display module is
correctly plugged into the amplifier board

Switch off power supply. Press and hold down both the OS keys and
switch on the measuring device. The display text will appear in English
(default) and is displayed at maximum contrast.
