NOTE
Record position of cable ties before removing to ensure
correct installation.
5. Remove cable ties (1).
6. Loosen set screw (5) in cable guide (7).
7. Loosen cable clamp screw (3) and remove throttle
cable (4) and sheath (2) from throttle plate (6).

8. Remove jam nut (12) from throttle cable sheath (10).
9. Pull throttle cable sheath (10) down and remove it
from handlebar top plate (9).
10. Disconnect end of throttle cable (13) from throttle
paddle (8).
11. Pull throttle cable (13) and sheath (10) out through
front half of handlebar cover (11).

See Figures 3-8 and 3-9.

1. Install jam nut (6) over end of throttle cable (1), but do
not thread it onto throttle cable sheath (4).
2. Route throttle cable (1) with sheath (4) through
handlebar cover (5).
3. Connect end of throttle cable (1) to throttle paddle
(2).
4. Install throttle cable sheath (4) into slot in handlebar
top plate (3). Tighten jam nut (6).
