SPECIFICATIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Engine Oil Check
See Figures 2-5 through 2-7.
Maintain proper oil level! Operation of the mower
with low oil level will result in engine damage.
NOTE
Allow the mower to cool before checking oil level.

1. Park the mower safely. (See "Park Mower Safely" on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove transport wheels (if equipped). (See
"Transport Wheels (Optional)" on page 9-2.)
NOTE
The engine must be level before checking the oil level.
3. Push the mower forward so that the mower is resting
on the traction roller.
4. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick (1).

5. Check oil level. When the reservoir is properly filled,
the oil should be even with the bottom edge (2) of the
filler neck.
6. Add oil as needed. (See "Engine Oil" on page 2-7.)

7. Inspect the gasket (4) before installing the oil filler
cap/dipstick (3).
Traction/Reel Chain Case Oil Check
