3. Loosen screw (1) on both sides of machine.
4. Tip mower back on traction drum or tires. Do not
leave the mower tipped back for an extended length
of time, or oil may migrate into the combustion
chamber.
NOTE
Make sure the bedknife is properly adjusted before
adjusting the turf groomer cutting height. (See
"Bedknife-to-Reel Adjustment" on page 8-13.)

Do not set the blades at ground level or below. To
mow at this level may damage the machine as
well as the turf. The turf groomer is designed to
be a conditioner, not a vertical mower.
Textron Turf Care and Specialty Products does
not recommend setting the groomer blades more
than 1/16 in. (2 mm) below the reel cutting height.

5. Place height-of-cut gauge bar (2) across the front
TN0329
and rear rollers at one end of the turf groomer, with
the head of screw (3) over bedknife (4).
6. Loosen wing nut (6) and adjust screw (5) from
0—1/16 in. (0—0.4 mm) shorter than the mower
height-of-cut. Tighten wing nut (6) to secure setting.
7. Turn the turf groomer height-of-cut adjuster to bring
one of the groomer blades into contact with screw
(5).
NOTE
The groomer edge must be perpendicular with screw (5)
as shown.
8. Repeat step 7 on the opposite end of the reel. Be
sure both ends are adjusted evenly.
