■ Auto Write
This function writes recipe values for the specified block numbers at specific times. The write timing can be set as a combination of
the following four times.
When the FC6A Series MICROSmart power is turned on
When a user program is downloaded to the FC6A Series MICROSmart
When FC6A Series MICROSmart operation starts
When the keep data error occurs
A range of block numbers can be specified and all of the channels in the specified block numbers are applicable.
Reading and Writing to Internal Memory (ROM-Range)
If the backup battery dies, the device values are cleared to 0.
The device values can be restored to when the recipe was last read (PLC to recipe) by periodically reading recipes (PLC to recipe)
to internal memory (ROM-Range) and then writing recipes (recipe to PLC) after recovering from a power loss.
Internal memory (ROM-Range) is split into two areas. Use these areas according to the intended usage.
■ Configure the same recipe settings in the two internal memory (ROM-Range) areas and use for backups
If the CPU module power is turned off while reading the recipe (PLC to recipe), the recipe cannot be read correctly. If the same
recipe settings are configured in internal memory (ROM-Range 1) and internal memory (ROM-Range 2), even if reading the recipe
(PLC to recipe) fails for one recipe, the other area stores the device values when the recipe was last read (PLC to recipe).
In this case, the two internal memory (ROM-Range) areas are configured with the same recipe settings, and this allows a
maximum of 7,000 words of data to be stored.
■ Configure each internal memory (ROM-Range) with different recipe settings to save more device values
Configure internal memory (ROM-Range 1) and internal memory (ROM-Range 2) each with different recipe settings.
This allows a maximum of 14,000 words of data to be stored. (Each of the two internal memory (ROM-Range) areas can store a
maximum of 7,000 words of data.)
Note:
The limit on the number of times to read a recipe (PLC to recipe) to internal memory (ROM-Range) is 50,000 times.
Internal memory (ROM-Range) can be written and read in blocks. It cannot be written and read in channels.
The amount of data that can be set for 1 block of internal memory (ROM-Range) is a maximum of 7,000 words.
When reading and writing to internal memory (ROM-Range), Data Type on the Data Editor dialog box is fixed to Word (W).
When reading and writing to internal memory (ROM-Range), Data on the Data Editor dialog box cannot be entered.
To execute reading recipes (PLC to recipe) to internal memory (ROM-Range), first turn off Read Restriction for Recipe Internal Memory (ROM-
Range) (M8267). If recipes are read while M8267 remains on, an error will not occur.
Internal memory (ROM-Range 1) and internal memory (ROM-Range 2) cannot be set to multiple blocks. Each area can be set to only 1 block
each.
Recipe Execution and FC6A Series MICROSmart Status
Read and write recipe can be executed when the FC6A Series MICROSmart is running or stopped.
If the FC6A Series MICROSmart is stopped while reading or writing the recipe, reading or writing the recipe continues after stopping.
If the FC6A Series MICROSmart is set to run while reading or writing the recipe, the FC6A Series MICROSmart automatically runs after
reading or writing the recipe has finished.
Read and write recipe operate in user program END processing regardless of whether the FC6A Series MICROSmart is running or stopped.
