7.5 Replacing System Controller Components
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the hard drive
to the frame.
Installing the Hard Drive
To install the hard drive, follow these steps
1. Hold the hard drive in position and replace the four screws that secure the hard
drive to the frame.
2. Reconnect the following cables:
– 4-pin cable to the power back plane
– IDE ribbon cable to the motherboard
3. Reinstall the system controller cover, as described in
7.5.4

Replacing the System Controller Cover

To replace the system controller cover, follow these steps:
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, replace the 10 screws that secure the system
controller cover to the power/PC bay. See
Figure 7-20 Replacing the system controller cover
2. Slide the power/PC bay back into the frame. See
