In the Event of an Earthquake

● These screens appear in a condominium installed with systems that support the Earthquake
Note
Early Warning System (prediction). If the elevator earthquake sensor is linked with a system
supporting the Earthquake Early Warning System (prediction), the elevator stop display and
message are output.

Confirm that system components are properly installed before using the system.
Using the Detailed Earthquake Intensity Display
When an Earthquake is Expected
If emergency alarm (prediction) information is received, the earthquake intensity and expected time
of occurrence appear as earthquake information.
● The following messages are triggered in
accordance with the predicted time of
earthquake occurrence.
(△: Intensity value, □: Every 10 seconds)

Longer than 60 seconds:
"(Siren) Earthquake coming.
Intensity △"

Between 10 and 60 seconds
"(Siren) In □ seconds, earthquake coming.
Intensity △, (siren)"
The final siren is not triggered when the expected
time is at 10 seconds.

Between 0 and below 10 seconds
"(Siren) Earthquake very soon. Intensity △, (siren)"
■ After the expected time of earthquake occurrence
has passed:
"We have an earthquake. Please use caution."

The message volume can be adjusted.

● The earthquake alert (prediction) message stops,
and the earthquake icon turns off approximately
10 seconds after receiving a signal indicating
that the earthquake has occurred.

The call sub-base unit with monitor plays the

alert at the volume configured with the base
unit. The volume of the call sub-base unit
cannot be adjusted. The volume corresponds
with the "High" setting.
● Nothing appears for earthquakes predicted to
have an intensity of 2 or less.
●
If an elevator stops while displaying earthquake
information regarding a condominium with
linked elevator systems, the "Elevator Stopped"
message appears in the sub-screen, and the
elevator stop message is triggered after the
earthquake alert (prediction) message finishes.

Using the Detailed Earthquake Intensity Display
S-wave Sensor Earthquake Detections
If an S-wave sensor (other company product) that detects earthquakes is connected to your
condominium building system, earthquakes are detected independent of the emergency
earthquake alert (prediction).
The following display does not appear if the
S-wave sensor is not connected. Check
with your condominium management
company etc. to find out if it is connected.
● The earthquake alert message stops, and
the earthquake icon turns off approximately
1 minute after receiving a signal indicating
that the S-wave sensor has detected an
earthquake.

The alert detected by the S-wave sensor has

higher priority over the emergency earthquake
alert (prediction).
● If an elevator stops while displaying earthquake
information regarding a condominium with
linked elevator systems, the "Elevator Stopped"
message appears in the sub-screen, and the
