Expire Date of the Gas Alarm

● An expiration date is defined to maintain the function of the gas alarm connected to the base unit.
● Make sure to replace with a new gas alarm before the expiration date.
Always perform the operation check after replacement.
● The gas alarm must conform to the city gas alarm voltage output uniform standard by the Gas Alarm
Industries Association of Japan.

Voltage contact 2-stage output type
(Normal condition: DC6 V, During gas leak alarm: DC12 V, During equipment or wiring abnormality: 0 V)
●
Voltage contact 3-stage output type (with imperfect combustion (CO) alarm)
Normal condition: DC6 V, During gas leak alarm: DC12 V,
During incomplete combustion: DC18 V, During equipment or wiring abnormality: 0 V

Troubleshooting

Stop the alarm sound with the STOP ALARM button when the alarm of the base unit or the call sub-base
Note
unit with monitor does not stop.
Perform following measure if the alarm still does not stop.
● For VGDT item number base unit
As a primary measure for the abnormal condition
of the base unit or the call sub-base unit with
monitor, such as the alarm sound does not stop
with the STOP ALARM button, press the abnormal
case "off" switch, and then contact the
administrating company or the company that
installed the system. (All the function are stopped.)
The abnormal case "off" switch is
under the setting cover.

There are cases that the function may not stop even the abnormal case "off" switch is pressed.
In such case, remove the base unit cover and disconnect the connectors connected to the base.
Note There is a danger of exposed power supply when the cover is removed. Do not remove the cover except
when there is an abnormality.
How to remove
1 Remove the cover fixing screw (1 location)

Disconnect connectors (2 locations)

1 Insert the connectors (2 locations) into Connector

2 Hook the tab at the top of the cover to
the base
3 Fix with the cover fixing screw (1 location)
