Precautions When Using a microSD Memory Card (For Base Unit)
●
Only microSDHC memory cards from 4GB to 32GB are compatible (hereinafter called microSD
memory card). It is recommended to use the Panasonic memory card.
●
The microSDXC memory card is not supported. Use the microSDHC memory card.
●
The time to playback the recorded video and sound may become longer depending on the type of
the microSD memory card, but this is not a malfunction.
●
The time it takes to response differs depending on the amount of the data recorded in the
microSD memory card and the type of the microSD memory card in use. The more data recorded,
the longer to respond it may take.
●
The microSD memory card is a precise device. Do not drop or apply intense force or shock. Also,do
not leave it in a location that will become hot or under direct sunlight for long period of time.
●
Do not touch the terminal at the rear of the microSD memory card.
●
Consider the privacy and portrait rights of the subject when recording and using the video and
sound and manage and handle the recording data under the responsibility of the customer.
●
The video and sound data may be lost due to the electrical noise, static electricity, or failure of the
base unit or the microSD memory card, so it is recommended to also save the important data in a
PC, etc. Please note that Panasonic is not liable for any damage of damaged or lost data.
●
Please note that the number of video or sound that can be recorded in the microSD memory card or
the recording time differs depending on the environment of use. The usable capacity may be less
than the capacity indicated on the card.
●
Recording of video or sound may not be possible due to not enough memory capacity when there is
a large number of protected file or when data not for the base unit is in the microSD memory card.
Secure capacity by cancelling the protection setting or deleting the data not from the base unit.
●
The video recorded in a device other than the base unit cannot be played back.
●
The base unit or the card may get damaged when the microSD memory card is inserted in wrong
direction. Make sure to insert in correct direction.
●
If the setting cover does not close completely, take out the microSD memory card once, check the
direction, and insert it again. (
Page 18)
●
The record save destination setting for the video and sound is displayed when the microSD
memory card in inserted while the screen is turned off. Select the destination following the screen.
The data of recorded video and sound is transferred to the card when the SD memory card is
selected, so a message "The data is being transferred from main unit to SD card. Do not remove the
SD card." appears. Operation is not possible while the message is appearing.
●
To remove the microSD memory card, perform the removal operation following page 117. The
recorded data may be damaged when it is removed or the power is turned off while writing the data.
●
Make sure to initialize the microSD memory card in the base unit in advance. (
The number of video and sound recording may decrease or it may not operate correctly when it is
initialized with other devices such as a PC.
●
All the recorded data is erased when the microSD memory card is initialized. Save the necessary
data to other devices such as a PC.
●
The video data or folder in the microSD memory card that was edited or the name of data was
changed with PC or similar will not be able to playback correctly in the base unit.
●
Download the conversion software from Panasonic website to convert the recorded video and
sound so it can be played back with Windows Media Player. (As of September, 2016)
http://sumai.panasonic.jp/wiring/mansion/windea/convert/index.html
●
Operation of the base unit may become slower when the microSD memory card gets full with data.
Periodically clean the data.
●
Note that the status of all the "Unread" video and sound data will become "Read" when they are
moved to a PC.

Cautions
●
Automatic fire alarm facilities for fire-fighting such as the receivers (security intercoms) for the
apartment building or for unit and detectors, and depending on the building, sprinkler head for the
sprinkler facilities are installed inside your unit. The automatic fire alarm facilities are facilities to
detect fire automatically and facilitates smooth evacuation, while the sprinklers are facilities to
detect and extinguish fire automatically. Regular and periodic inspection are required for these
facilities to operate properly in case of fire.
Pages 117 to 118).
●
A periodic inspection is required for the functions to notify linked to the Earthquake Early Warning
System (forecast). Also, perform the training to prepare for the earthquake such as tenants
evacuation to a safe location.
●
Hand over the operation manual to the new tenant or the agent so that the new tenant can use
the product correctly when moving out from the unit.
Regular Inspection
Regular inspection should be performed by the tenant.
●
Check if the power of the base unit or the call sub-base unit with monitor is not turned off.
(Check that the POWER indicator is illuminated in green.)
●
Check if there is any problem with the call function of the base unit and the call sub-base unit.
(Check if the speaker sounds properly.)
●
Check if there is any deformation, damage, crack, or loss in the base unit, call sub-base unit,
detector, gas alarm, the extra Emergency button, and the Call button.
●
Check if the power lamp of the gas alarm is illuminated. Check if there is any clogging by dust.
●
Check if there is any obstacles to use close to the extra Emergency button and the Call button.
●
Check if there is any deformation, damage, or minor water leak in the sprinkler heads.
Contact the management company or the building manager room immediately when any of
above is present or error with unknown cause such as alarm sounds occurs. The automatic fire
alarm facilities and sprinkler facilities (if installed) are for early detection and early extinguishing
of fire, so take care every day on handling so as not to hit them, and perform the inspection.
Only when the call sub-base unit with monitor, call sub-base unit, detector, gas alarm, extra
Note
Emergency button, Call button, and sprinkler facilities such as sprinkler head are installed.
Periodic Inspection
Periodic inspection by the periodic inspection company is required twice a year.
Periodic inspections of the fire alarm function are mandated by law if the base unit is used as
the automatic fire alarm facility for the condominium building or the unit.
The base unit will not sound the alarm and the indicator will not flash during the periodic
inspection by an external test device or the integrated control panel. An alarm will sound and
the indicator will flash on the door phone at the unit entrance, and the check indicator on the
detector will instantaneously flash.
The inspection method may vary depending on the fire station.
Note
For details, contact the periodic inspection company or the nearest Panasonic sales office.
