Convenient
Pretending to Be Out Function
You can use the Pretending to Be Out function to play a message indicating your absence
when you receive a call from the main entrance or unit entrance and do not want to answer it.
Note
The Pretending to Be Out function is not available when receiving a call from the building manager
room. ( does not appear.)
Message
1 Touch when receiving a call
Message
● The away from home message is played
for the caller.
● When the message finishes, a "beep"
sound is played and a video or audio
(base unit with sound recording function
is audio only) message can be
recorded.
●
Approximately 15 seconds later, the
"beep" sound is played again and the
Pretending to Be Out response ends.
●
The recorded video and audio can be
played back later. ( Pages 204 to 205)
●The away from home message can be
changed or recorded in your own voice
under the "Not-home setting" (
103 to 105).
● The away from home message is played
Note
when answering with the call sub-base
unit with monitor, but no audio or video
is recorded.
●
The following away from home message
is fixed for the call sub-base unit with
monitor. It cannot be changed. "I can't
answer the phone right now. Please
leave your name and message after the
beep."
●
If the number of unplayed video screen
recordings exceeds the maximum
number of recordings, then no more
recordings can be overwritten and the
Pretending to Be Out response cannot
be used. Play back the video screen
recordings which have not been viewed.

Receiving a call from the main
entrance, unit entrance, building
manager room, or other units
●
The ringtone plays, and the TALK
button flashes.
● The LOBBY indicator also lights up when
receiving a call from the main entrance.
●
The MANAGER indicator also lights
up when receiving a call from the
building manager room.
●
If there is no answer within approximately
30 seconds after the ringtone plays, then
the TALK button turns off automatically
and the ringtone also stops.
In the case of a call from the main
entrance, the LOBBY indicator turns off.

from an extension (base unit or another
sub-base unit), see page 46.

Press the TALK button to answer
● A "beep" sound is played, and the
TALK button lights up.

Talking on the interphone
●
Answering is not available without
pressing the TALK button during the
calling.
●
The call automatically ends approximately
1 minute after receiving a call from the
main entrance, unit entrance, building
manager room (with video capability) or
another unit and approximately 4 minutes
after talking with the building manager
room (without video capability).
●
If the talk time is extended using the
Continuation function, then the call
automatically ends after the extension
time has passed. ( Page 36)

Press the TALK button to end the call
● A "beep" sound is played, the TALK
button turns off, and the call ends.
Note
If you do not press the TALK button to end the call,
the room sound will be transmitted to the caller.

Unlocking the Main Entrance

Press the UNLOCK button flashing in
green while talking with the main entrance
● The main entrance is unlocked, the UNLOCK
button turns off for approximately 2 seconds,
and then it starts to flash in green again.
● The call automatically ends approximately
5 seconds after pressing the UNLOCK button,
and then the UNLOCK button and the TALK
button turn off.
