Hotel Management Systems

A PC capable of running functions in the PBX using command language can be
connected to the V.24 interface of the basic system. This operating mode is pos-
sible in I3 mode only.
When the system is first started up, the V.24 interface on the basic system initially
operates in I4 mode.
To switch between I4 mode and I3 mode, you need to change the configuration
of the V.24 interface on the mainboard accordingly using AIMS.
The commands for communicating with the hotel management systems are struc-
tured in such a way that the function is identified by an instruction code. This is
generally followed by a subscriber number. If the subscriber number is not fol-
lowed by a parameter, an enquiry is carried out. If the subscriber number is fol-
lowed by the appropriate parameters, the configuration is executed. Not all com-
mands allow configurations. If an instruction contains too many parameters, an
error number corresponding to the first superfluous parameter is output. If other
conditions leading to errors occur, the error numbers are always higher than the
maximum number of parameters + 1.
The error messages are based on the following principle:
Each instruction consists of blocks or parameters separated by TAB. The instruc-
tion code is parameter "0". The subscriber number is "1". If, for example, an error
is found on the first parameter, the error number is reported accordingly with
"e1".
"h" commands can be applied only to rooms and phone booths.
