The position and appearance of the connecting terminals for cable ties on the
2065 basic system are in accordance.
3.3
Installing a Surge Voltage Protector
Protect each line installation leading from the building at the PBX location by
using one surge voltage protector per core at the isolating point (see Fig. 4.7).
Connect the second connection of each voltage protector is earthed to the build-
ing.
Such surge voltage protectors can be installed either at the entry point of the line
in the building or at the main distributor board.
Surge voltage protector characteristics:
• Response voltage, static: 245 VDC
• Igniting voltage at 1 kV/µs: < 800 V
• Discharge current (impulse 8/20 µs): 10 kA
