2.3.2

Settings on the Pocket Adapter

The following PA settings are required if an Ascotel PBX is configured using a
Pocket Adapter (PA) connected in parallel with an Office terminal:

The transmission parameters for configuration via PA must match the parameters
set in the PBX. 9600 is set as the standard data transfer rate in the PBX.

Settings on the PC

AIMS runs under the following Windows versions:
• Windows 95
• Windows 98
• Windows NT 4.0
• Windows 2000
• Windows ME
The services Dial-Up Networking and TCP / IP network protocol must be installed
for local access and dial-up access. For LAN access the
TCP / IP network protocol has to be installed.
Note:
The following settings apply to all specified Windows versions. The pro-
cedure may vary from one Windows version to the next (see Operating
Instructions for setting up a connection).
LAN Configuration
The LAN access configuration (e.g. the PC-IP address) depends on the local net-
work. The relevant instructions can be found in the Connection Operating Instruc-
tions.
