6-6 Replacing the Fore-edge Trim Knife

Remove the pipe bracket.

Remove the upper knife.
- Remove the four mounting screws.
- Hold the knife using the handle.

Remove the handle from the upper
knife and install it on the new
knife.

Reverse the order of these instruc-
tions to attach the upper knife.
Caution when using the resharpened knife
(1) Upper knife
Do not try to use a resharpened knife which
is shorter than about 58.5 mm (2.31").
- Do not try to use a resharpened knife which
is shorter than about 58.5 mm (2.31").
- The width of a new knife is 62 mm (2.44").
- Grind the knife by the minimum possible amount.
- Grind a knife to 27 degrees.
(2) Lower knife
Do not try to use a resharpened knife which
is shorter than about 20.5 mm (0.81").
- Do not try to use a resharpened knife which
is shorter than about 20.5 mm (0.81").
- The width of a new knife is 23.5 mm (0.93").
- Grind the knife by the minimum possible amount.
- Grind a knife to 2 degrees.
