Poor Sheet Arrangement

Where to Check
There should be
no gaps between
the sheets and
the top and bot-
tom guides, or
between the
sheets and the
stopper when the
sheets are
jogged.
When feeding
from the collator -
The amount of
overlap must be
set correctly.
The machine
must be installed
on the mounting
plates.
The sheets must
slide smoothly
into the top and
bottom guides.
Cause and Solution
- Move the sheets while they are being jogged. If
the sheets move, there is a gap.
- Adjust the following items to match the sheet
size using Binding-Fine Adjust-Stitch Section

stopper

- Adjust the amount of overlap using the Main
screen on the collator.

- If the machine is installed temporarily on cast-
ers, the frame of the machine may become dis-
torted, and the top and bottom guides may not
be parallel.
- Reinstall the machine correctly so that it is level.

- Adjust the forward position of the main part of
the machine to match the transported sheet
position.

- Check that the support guide for the collator is
set up correctly.
