The Product enables setting of the threshold voltage for the Timer function. The
parameter is adjustable in the Setup>METER, with the HIPOT Timer threshold
parameter. The threshold is expressed as a percent of the applied voltage from
10 % to 99 %.
Uncertainty of displayed time depends on selection of ac or dc
mode. In ac mode, uncertainty is determined by the length of one
period of the hipot output voltage frequency.
To prevent possible damage to the Product, do not exceed
2200 V pk between COM and PE.

Flash V (Voltage) Function

The Product verifies the Class I and Class II Flash test voltage of PAT testers.
Nominal PAT tester test voltage output for the Class I flash test is 1500 V ac and
3000 V ac for the Class II. In the Flash Class I test, the DUT internally shorts its L
and N output terminals, and applies approximately 1500 V relative to the PE
terminal. In the Flash Class II test, the DUT internally shorts its L and N terminals
and applies approximately 3000 V ac relative to the PE terminal. The Class II test
the voltage applied by the DUT to its PE terminal is at approximately 1500 V
relative to ground, in antiphase to the voltage it applies to its L and N terminals.
The Meter high voltage input terminal, labelled HV, and the Meter COM terminal,
must be used for both Flash Class I and Class II test voltage calibration. The
Flash Voltage Mode is intended for DUT Flash test voltage calibration under
open circuit conditions, according to DUT specifications.
The Product Flash V Mode screen is similar to the Flash LC Mode screen (see
Figure 27), except that only voltage is displayed. The Product cannot measure
leakage current in the Flash V Mode. Use the Flash LC Mode for PAT tester
Flash leakage current calibration.
To make DUT Flash voltage measurements:
1. Push .
2. Using the Mode softkey, select the Flash V function.
