Connect the hipot tester (DUT) to the Product and the Load as in Figure 64. The
Load will create the leakage current that will be measured by the Product. The
resistance selection on the Load should be chosen for the appropriate leakage
current based on voltage amplitude used for the test.

Before using the Load, read the operating specifications to
understand the operating limits.
To avoid damage to the Load, never exceed the maximum rated
voltage, power, and current limit of the Load.
To set up for a hipot leakage current calibration with less than 1000 V test
voltage:
1. Push .
2. In the meter function, set the Product to HIPOT LC mode.
3. Set the Product to ac or dc depending on the signal type in the DUT.
4. Set the output voltage level on the DUT and turn the DUT output voltage on.
5. The Product senses the output voltage and measures simulated leakage
current flowing through the Load.
6. To verify the leakage current performance on the DUT, compare the leakage
current readings on the DUT with those on the Product.
