Calibrate Loop Impedance Testers

Use the Product Loop Impedance calibration function to calibrate loop testers
and multifunction installation testers.
To perform a Loop Impedance calibration:
1. Push .
2. Connect the DUT to the L, PE, and N terminals of the Product as shown in
3. Push the Setup softkey and set the desired residual impedance correction
4. Push the Mode softkey. Then, use the cursor keys or rotary knob to highlight
5. On the DUT, select the Loop Impedance function, test signal, and test
6. Set the Product to the desired Z residual correction setting. Many DUTs can
7. Check the series resistance setting on the Product. Ensure the value is
8. Adjust the Loop Impedance to the desired output by using the rotary knob or
9. Push .
10. Push Start on the DUT.
11. When the DUT displays the measured line impedance, compare it to the
12. Push  to disconnect the output terminals from the DUT.
Use the Rescan function if necessary. Depending on the stability of the supplying
mains it is recommended to perform a Rescan measurement once every
15 minutes when performing Loop or Line Impedance calibrations.

To avoid electric shock, do not touch the L, PE, or N terminals
on the Product or DUT while performing a Loop Impedance
calibration. Line voltage is present on these leads during this
calibration.
