Starting-up the instrument

To start-up the instrument:
1.
Ensure the power switch is switched on at the main power supply.
2.
Ensure the compressed air is set to 100 psi.

Ensure the CI gas is set to 10 psi.
4.
Switch on the instrument power on/off switch at the rear of the
instrument.
5.
Switch on the MassLynx PC.
6.
Switch-on the embedded PC (EPC).

Allow 3 minutes for the embedded PC to initialize.

Start the MassLynx software.

In the MassLynx window, click

11. In the Tune window, click Vacuum > Pump Instrument.

Waters recommends that you condition the detector for 10 hours
Tip:
when the analyzer has been vented to air. If the analyzer has been
vented to dry gas and not exposed to air, conditioning can be reduced to
60 minutes.
