The Direct Insertion Probe
Description
Enables probe ramp control.
Enables probe temperature regulation based on the
base peak intensity. The base peak is the most
intense peak within the scanned mass range.
Enables probe temperature regulation based on the
Total Ion Current (TIC).
When temperature regulation is enabled, this param-
eter specifies the intensity (of the current property
used for regulation: for example, Base Peak or TIC).
At that, the probe ramp intensifies will increase the
probe temperature after a hold or abort event.
Tip:
The specifies value is in counts.
Specifies the intensity at which the probe ramp
control will hold the probe temperature until the
intensity of the current property reaches the On
Threshold or Abort Threshold.
Specifies the intensity at which the probe ramp
control is turned off until the intensity reaches the On
Threshold.
If Use Base Peak is selected, masses below the value
entered in the associated Mass text box are ignored
when calculating the base peak value.

its properties will be controlled.
