Description
Sets the frequency of the pusher pulse. Set the
value to between 33 and 250 µsec.
The default value is 40, but this can be increased
to accommodate higher masses.
To achieve good resolution, you
Requirement:
need to retune the Pusher Bias and the Grid 2
parameters if the pusher interval is changed.
The voltage on the third grid of the pusher. This
is the most important parameter when tuning for
the best resolution. Normally specified to 1.0 V
above the entrance value, but tune for each
instrument.
The voltage of the second grid in the pusher
stack. This is the second most important tuning
parameter for good resolution and typically is set
between 0 and 60 V.
The voltage of the reflectron. The default value is
between 1760 and 1790 V.
The voltage of the flight tube. The default value
is between 4600 and 4700 V.
Note:
If the readback value is approximately
-9900, this indicates that the voltage for the TOF
Flight Tube is off.
Changing this value changes the position of the
green trip-level indicator in the source vacuum
display. This function protects the source fila-
ment from the rise in source pressure as the
solvent front elutes in a GS/MS experiment.
Caution:
The Source Solvent Trip value must
always be set to a pressure slightly higher than
the current pressure reading.
