10. Fill the basket with fresh alumina balls up to the maximum fill level
marker, and refit the perforated disk, smooth side down, to avoid
abrading the balls.
The perforated disk should align with the maximum fill level

11. Slide the short compression spring over the spindle and on top of the
perforated disk.
12. Refit the washer and end cap.
13. Refit the second washer and wing nut.
14. Push down the slack in the compression spring, and tighten the wing
nut.
15. Fit the basket within the foreline trap casing, ensuring it is fully located
on the bottom O-ring.
16. Fit and tighten the foreline trap spring lid.

Reference reservoir maintenance

Reference reservoir maintenance consists of changing the reference inlet cap
septum that allows reference material to be injected into the reference
reservoir. The septum is normally leak-tight. However, it can leak when
repeat injections of reference material have been made.
