Complete this procedure to configure IP information.

From the BSG navigation pane, select Configuration, WAN, T1/E1, IP
Configuration.
The IP Configuration pane appears.

From the PPP/MP list, select PPP1.
This is the PPP interface you just created.

From the IP Address Assignment buttons, select Manual or Dynamic.

In the IP Address field, type the IP address of PPP interface.
Set this field if IP Address Assignment is Manual.

In the Subnet Mask field, type the subnet mask of the IP address.
Set this field if IP Address Assignment is Manual.

In the Peer IP Address field, type the IP address of the peer.
Set this field if IP Address Assignment is Manual.

In the Primary DNS field, type the primary DNS server IP address.
Set this field if IP Address Assignment is Manual.

In the Secondary DNS field, type the secondary DNS server IP address.
Set this field if IP Address Assignment is Manual.
Description
Read-only field. Specifies the name of the
PPP interface and the serial interface over
which it is layered.
Specifies whether the PPP interface can be
bundled to form a multilink or not. Options are
Yes and No. Select Yes to bundle the PPP
interface to form a multilink. Select No to
unbundle a PPP interface.
When a PPP interface is bundled to form
a multilink, you cannot configure the user
name and password for that PPP
interface.
Lists the available Multilink interfaces. Select
the required multilink interface for a specific
PPP interface.
Read-only field to indicate the admin status of
the PPP interface.
