Save template charts

Procedure
1. Navigate to the component page as required, and select the record(s). In the Chart View pane, using
the Actions menu, choose the metrics that you want to plot data. The graphs for the selected metrics
are plotted in the Chart View.
NOTE: You can choose a combination of components and metrics, which you want to save as
template charts.
2. Navigate to Actions > Save As > Save Template.
The Save Template page opens.
3. To create a new template, click New Template.
4. In the Template Name box, provide a name for the template, and click Ok. Template name must not
exceed 24 characters.
5. To view the template which you have saved, navigate to the Templates screen.
6. From the Templates menu, choose the template you have saved.
You can view the performance graphs of selected metrics, and monitor the behavior of multiple
components and arrays in one screen.
To add more metrics to an existing template, select the desired metrics from the components/ features
screens. You can add a single metric to a template by right-clicking on the metric and select Save As >
Template. In the Save Template dialog, select Existing Template (also the default selection), and
choose the desired template from the drop-down filter, and click OK.
IMPORTANT:
• Template name must not exceed 24 characters.
• Using the template charts, you can only save components and metrics combination. The data in
the charts at the time of creating templates are not saved.
• Each template accommodates components and metrics that belong to the same metric category.
The components and metrics that belong to a different metric category are automatically
considered as a separate template chart request.
If you save the new set of components and metrics (belonging to the same or different metric categories)
with an existing template chart name, the new set is automatically appended to the existing set in the
template chart. When you load that template chart, the charts are segregated based on the metric
categories. You can also save the new set of components and metrics as a separate template.
NOTE: In addition to viewing your template charts, you can also generate, save, or schedule reports
for template charts.

Email charts as PDF/CSV

PA enables you to email individual as well as the entire set of charts that are added in the Chart View. PA
chooses a system-defined email configuration such as the Microsoft Outlook to send charts as email
attachments.
