NOTE: If a component is assessed based on multiple metrics, and if any one of the metrics crosses
the threshold limit, then the particular metrics and the overlying component is displayed as critical.

Interpreting charts in dashboards

PA enables you to identify critical arrays and its components from the dashboard-level of screens, and
thereby drill down to the critical components. The Overview dashboard flags the arrays that are critical
and also depicts the metrics of critical components in the form of donuts and bar charts. The figure below
displays how donuts form as links connecting the Overview dashboard to the other levels of dashboards,
and the component screens.
If at any time a metric or a component has crossed the threshold limit in an array or is at 95% or higher of
the set threshold limit for a specified duration, then the status for the given array will change to Critical or
Warning. For example, if the IOPS metric for a threshold duration of 6 hours, from 6 am to 12 pm,
indicates crossing the threshold value at 10 am and recovering back to the normal state at 11 am, PA will
still flag the metric as Critical or Warning in the dashboard as there was a leap in the data at a point in the
given time range.
The number of arrays depicted above the donut charts represents the same data as in the donut charts.
Clicking either on the donut or the numbers above it with status icons navigates you to the respective
levels of screens. By default, the donut charts display only the critical arrays inside the circle. To view
other statuses, hover over the text inside the donut chart, and the selection changes accordingly.
Description
Indicates that the usage of at least one component is at 95% of the set
threshold limit or higher during the specified threshold duration.
Indicates that the usage of at least one component has crossed the set
threshold limit during the specified threshold duration.
This may occur due to one of the following reasons:
Does not collect performance data for a given array during the specified
threshold duration even though configuration collection is displaying.
If a resource is not added as part of a performance schedule, then the
performance data is not collected for that resource.
If threshold values are not set/disabled for a resource.
