About Continuous Access

The Continuous Access screen provides the configuration and performance details on the pair status of
the primary and the secondary systems. To view performance and utilization details of Continuos Access
data in the P9500/XP/XP7 disk arrays, click Continuous Access from the main menu. You can also
navigate to the CA screen from the Overview and the Continuous Access dashboards. The Continuos
Access widget in the Overview dashboard provides at-a-glance data about the health of the Continuous
Access volumes in the arrays that you manage.
For example, the numbers in CA Pair Status in Overview > Continuous Access depict arrays. If the
critical status is shown as 2, it means pair status in two arrays are in critical status. Click the critical icon
to navigate to the Continuous Access dashboard. Select the array from the master pane, and in under
Status > CA Pair Status, click the critical icon. The Continuous Access screen displays all the critical
components with the status on the tool tip as Pair Suspend Error. This requires the immediate
attention of the administrator if the critical volumes are active volumes that carry out regular data transfer.
To view the host port of the selected CA, go to Actions > Host Port. Similarly, you can monitor the
associated CA port as well.
Use the Template feature for frequent monitoring of performance metrics, and foresee performance
issues in advance. Templates can provide an at-a-glance information on the behavior of critical
