Performance Advisor Management Station Monitor service periodically monitors the PA Management
Station Tomcat service, and dispatches appropriate email notifications to the specified email address
that provides the status of the service.

Manually configure database size

Prerequisites
Before allocating the disk space, verify the available disk space. In the Purge pane in Purge/Archive
screen, a label named Disk Space Available displays the available disk space.
During installation of PA, the configured maximum database size is set to 150 GB by default. You can
modify the size based on the available disk space after installation of PA. If the database has occupied
x% of the maximum configured database size, where x is the threshold value specified in
purgeparameters.properties file or if the available disk space is less than y GB, where y is the
disk space value specified in purgeparameters.properties file, then automatic deletion of oldest
records is initiated in the database. The default threshold value is 70% and default disk space value is
3 GB. If you change this value in purgeparameters.properties file, then the new value is
considered for auto purge.
If the database size increases, you cannot revert the configured maximum database size to a value
lesser than the current database size.
Procedure
1. From the HPE XP7 Performance Advisor main menu, navigate to PA Settings, and in the DB
Configuration pane, click Edit.
2. In the DB Configuration page, scroll the slider on either side to choose the disk space size that you
want to allocate.
Configured maximum database size is set to 150 GB by default. The maximum disk space that can be
allocated is 300 GB.
3. Click Save.
The Configured Maximum Database Size reflects the new allocated database size.
The Disk Space available on drive where Database exists displays the remaining available system
disk space in the drive where database exists.
