Description
It is the average time taken in
millisecond for the read IOs from
the time the read command is
received at the array host port to
the time the array has returned a
good status frame to the host
indicating a successful completion
of the read command after
reception of the data from the host.
The data transfer time, which relies
on the switch buffer availability to
send data frames to the array, is
included in the read response time.
The maximum read response time
of all the LDEV over the last 30
seconds of the collection interval.
The average write response time of
all the LDEVs over the entire data
collection interval.
It is the average time taken in
millisecond for write IOs from the
time the write command is received
at the array host port to the time
the array has returned a good
status frame to the host indicating
a successful completion of the
write command after reception of
the data from the host. The data
transfer time, which relies on the
switch buffer availability to send
data frames to the array, is
included in the write response time.
The maximum write response time
of all the LDEVs in the last 30
seconds of the collection interval.
The average write response time of
all the LDEVs for the given Host
group over the entire data
collection interval.
The average read
response time value for
an LDEV is obtained
from dividing the
accumulated response
time of all the I/Os by
the total number of I/Os
on that LDEV.Average
read response time
= Accumulated
response time of
all I/Os / total
number of I/Os
The average write
response time value for
an LDEV is obtained
from dividing the
accumulated response
time of all the I/Os by
the total number of I/Os
on that LDEV.Average
write response
time = Accumulated
response time of
all I/Os / total
number of I/Os
The average write
response time value for
a host group is obtained
by taking the average of
the average write
response time of all the
LDEVS associated with
the given host group.
