Manage Forecast Settings; Update Real-Time Database - HPE XP7 User Manual

Procedure
1. From HPE XP7 Performance Advisor, click PA Settings.
2. To set or change an alias name of an array, hover over the Array Alias Names and then click Edit.
3. Enter a name in the Alias Name field on the Edit Array Alias Setting screen. You can set or change
the alias names for multiple arrays at a time.
4. Click Save.

Manage forecast settings

Use this option to change the default settings for the number of days, week, or month for next forecast
data to plot performance charts.
Procedure
1. From HPE XP7 Performance Advisor, click PA Settings.
2. To set forecast settings of an array, hover over the Forecast Settings, and click Edit.
3. Enter a value between 1 to 7 in one or all the following fields:
• Daily Forecast Period
• Weekly Forecast Period
• Monthly Forecast Period
NOTE: Enter the higher number to get the accurate forecast for array performance.

Update real-time database

Procedure
1. From the HPE XP7 Performance Advisor main menu, click PA Settings > Realtime Update
Settings.
2. Click Edit.
3. In the Update Realtime Database page, update the host agent, and the command device.
4. To initiate real-time monitoring, click Save and Update.
Updating the real-time server lasts for about 20 - 30 minutes. However, you can check the status of
the action (as Successful or Failed) in the Event Log screen.
NOTE: Click Save if you only want to save the configuration in the database. This does not
enable real time charting for metrics.
When the update is complete, the following message appears:
Realtime Server update is successful for array <arrayName> for HA <Host
name>. You can then proceed with the real time data collection and plotting
of charts.
