CA PVOL Response Time (msec)
CA Recovery Point Objective (mins)
LDEV Average Read Response
(msec)
LDEV Average Write Response
(msec)
Description
Includes both average read response time and average write
response of an individual PVOL.
Indicates the time that is the average response time of a LDEV
that is configured as a PVOL. It is the average time taken in
millisecond for the read and write IOs from the time the read and
write commands are received at the array host port to the time
the array has returned a good status frame to the host indicating
a successful completion of the read and write commands after
reception of the data from the host. The data transfer time, which
relies on the switch buffer availability to send data frames to the
array, is included in the response time.
PA uses this value to verify whether the average read response
time on each PVOL is within or beyond the set threshold. The
status is updated according to the value with respect to threshold
set.
If the average read response time on a PVOL exceeds the
defined threshold limit, the status icon changes to Critical. The
default threshold value is 5 msec.
Indicates the CA recovery point objective in seconds on each
LDEV for a defined threshold duration. The default threshold
value is 5 sec.
Indicates the average time taken in millisecond for read IOs from
the time the read command is received at the array host port to
the time the array has returned a good status frame to the host
indicating a successful completion of the command after
transferring the data. The data transfer time, which relies on the
switch buffer availability to receive data frames, is included in the
read response time.
PA uses this value to verify whether the average read response
time on each LDEV is within or beyond the set threshold. The
status is updated according to the value with respect to threshold
set. The default threshold value is 5 msec.
Indicates the average time taken in terms of millisecond for write
IOs from the time the write command is received at the array host
port to the time the array has returned a good status frame to the
host indicating a successful completion of the write command
after reception of the data from the host. The data transfer time,
which relies on the switch buffer availability to send data frames
to the array, is included in the write response time.
PA uses this value to verify whether the average write response
time on each LDEV is within or beyond the set threshold. The
status is updated according to the value with respect to threshold
set. If the average write response time on a LDEV exceeds the
defined threshold limit, the status icon changes to Critical. The
default threshold value is 5 msec.
