AT SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID AND "P" POSITION SWITCH

CONTROL SYSTEMS
C: INSPECTION
Is the shift lock solenoid oper-
ating properly?
Is the resistance less than 1
n?
Is the resistance more than 1
MR?
Step
1
CHECK SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID.
Measure the resistance of shift lock solenoid
connector terminals.
Terminal

CHECK SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID.
Connect the battery with shift lock solenoid
connector terminal, operate solenoid.

CHECK "P" POSITION SWITCH.
1)Move the select lever to
" P
position.
2)Measure resistance between " P position
switch connector terminals.
1)Move the select lever to other than "P" posi-
tion.
2)Measure resistance between "P" position
switch connector terminals.
4 CHECK "P" POSITION SWITCH.
Go to step 3. Replace the shift
lock solenoid and
" P position switch
assembly.
Replace the " P
position switch.
Go to step 4.
Normal Replace the "P"
position switch.
Check
and 20 R?
lock solenoid and
" P position switch
assembly.
