Notice. Failure to comply with the following may result in property damage.
• Always wear clean, lint-free gloves when handing the UV filter.
• Always handle optics by their edges.
1. Remove the lamp, if installed (on page 60).
2. Remove one screw from each tab.
3. Loosen the other screws from each tab.
4. Wearing the gloves provided with the service kit, hold the UV filter in place and swing the
tabs out to the side.
5. Slide the UV filter out to remove.
6. Install the UV filter with the arrow marking on the side pointing towards the lamp.
7. To complete the installation, repeat these steps in reverse order.
8. Perform a lamp calibration.

Replacing the backplane

Estimated replacement time: 25 minutes
1. Remove the card cage.
2. Remove the MCPU board (on page 70).
3. Remove the option cards (on page 70).
4. Remove the ten 2.5mm hex head screws securing the rear of the card cage cover.
