5. Remove the nine, 2.5mm hex head screws securing the high speed image processor to the
active backplane.
6. Gently disconnect the high speed image processor. A large connector is between these two
electronic boards J4.
7. Remove the high speed image processor (on page 69).
8. Remove the 10 screws securing the backplane to back of the card cage chassis and plastic
option card slider piece.
9. To install the backplane, repeat these steps in reverse order.
Replacement service parts should have a software update done to them.

Replacing the high speed image processor

Estimated replacement time: 25 minutes
1. Remove the card cage.
2. Remove the MCPU board (on page 70).
3. Remove the option cards (on page 70).
4. Remove the 10 screws from the rear of the card cage.
5. Remove the rear cover (on page 44).
6. Remove the nine screws securing the high speed image processor board.
7. Gently disconnect the high speed image processor.
A large connector is between these two electronic boards J4.
8. Remove the board.
