To Talk Before Sending a Fax (On Hook Dial)
Press the On Hook Dial key.

NOTE:
Do not use the handset.
Do not press the Start key.
If you hear a voice from the machine's built-in speaker, pick up the
handset and speak to the other party.
If you hear a high-pitched tone instead of a voice, place your fax mes-
sage in the feeder, then press the Start key.
When you are ready to send your fax message, place your message in
the feeder, then ask the other party to press the Start key.
When you hear a high-pitched tone, press the Start key.
