Turning The Mark On or Off (Ink End Detection)
Normally the machine prints a small mark at the top and bottom left side of
each page. A sensor inside the machine monitors the intensity of the
blackness; if the mark printed at the bottom is too pale, the machine
determines that a new ink cartridge must be replaced. The dotted mark
printed at the top is important for the machine to recognize the printing start
position. It only appears when the machine prints received messages.
If you do not wish the marks to appear on your print out, you can switch them
off by doing the following.
