802.1X Commands
Example
The following command manually initiates re-authentication of 802.1X-enabled
gi11:
switchxxxxxx#
dot1x re-authenticate gi11

3.18 dot1x reauthentication

To enable periodic re-authentication of the client, use the dot1x reauthentication
command in Interface Configuration mode. To restore the default configuration,
use the no form of this command.
Syntax
dot1x reauthentication
no dot1x reauthentication
Parameters

Default Configuration
Periodic re-authentication is disabled.
Command Mode
Interface (Ethernet) Configuration mode
Example
switchxxxxxx(config)# interface gi11
switchxxxxxx(config-if)#
dot1x reauthentication

3.19 dot1x system-auth-control

To enable 802.1X globally, use the dot1x system-auth-control command in Global
Configuration mode. To restore the default configuration, use the no form of this
command.
