- boccola di guida (25);
- boccola (27) del tubo portante.
attenzione a non rovinare il
rivestimento esterno della boccola.
Unire il raschiapolvere e l'anello di
fermo con nastro isolante per non
intralciare le operazioni successive.

Spingere la boccola di guida (25) e lo
scodellino (24) nel fodero esterno

Installare l'anello di fermo (29) e il

Reassembling the front fork
Caution
Before installation, smear the
sliding edges of the oil seal (23) with
fork oil or oil seal grease.
Tape the rim of the stanchion tube to
protect it from damage.
Fit the following components to the
stanchion tube:
- dust seal (22);
- retaining ring (29);
- oil seal (23).
Caution
Install the oil seal with the mark
facing the dust seal.
Fit the following components to the
stanchion tube:
- retainer (24);
- guide bush (25);
- stanchion tube bush (27).
Caution
Remove any burrs. Make sure
not to damage the outer coating of
the bush.
Tape dust seal and retaining ring
together to keep them out of the way
during the next operations.
Note
Before assembling these two
parts, smear the sliding surfaces of
the bushes with fork oil.
Push the guide bush (25) and the
spring cap (24) into the sleeve using
the oil seal tool (E, part no.
88713.1096).
Drive the oil seal (23) into the slider
using the same tool.
Fit the retaining ring (29) and the dust
seal (22).
Caution
The sleeve must slide freely on
the stanchion tube. Handle stanchion
tubes and outer sleeves with your
hands. Using any tools might damage
the oil seals and guide bushes.
Place the fork bottom end in a vice.
Fit the lower centering bush (7) into
damper cartridge end (8) and then fit
into the stanchion tube.
