Allentare completamente il registro
(A) del tappo (14), per attenuare il
precarico dalla molla.

bruscamente dalla sua sede
causando eventualmente danni a

Svitare il tappo superiore (14).

Montare l'attrezzo speciale (B, cod.

88713.0957) bloccandolo con la vite
(C) nel foro laterale del collare molla
(11).
Spingere l'attrezzo verso il basso per
comprimere la molla e quindi
installare il distanziale (D) dell'attrezzo
sotto il controdado della cartuccia (8).
Bloccare il registro dell'estensione
montato sulla cartuccia (8) con una
chiave esagonale e svitare il tappo
superiore (14) completo.
B

Rimuovere il distanziale (D)
spingendo verso il basso l'attrezzo
(B).
Rimuovere dall'asta il distanziale (12)
con rosetta (13), il giunto molla (11), il
parapolvere (17) e la molla (10).

Overhauling the front fork
Note
The special tools required for
front fork overhaul are listed in
Section C 4.
Clean the fork legs thoroughly before
disassembly.
Rebound adjuster should be
positioned to min. setting.
Disassembling the front fork
Remove the snap ring (15).
Fully undo the adjuster (A) of plug (14)
for softer spring preload.
Warning
When removing the plug,
proceed with utmost care as it might
be suddenly ejected and cause
damages to objects and injuries to
people standing nearby.
Undo the upper plug (14).
Fit the special tool (B, part no.
88713.0957) and lock it by fitting the
screw (C) into the spring collar side
hole (11).
Push the tool down to compress the
spring and then fit the tool spacer (D)
under the cartridge check nut (8).
Lock the rebound adjuster on
cartridge (8) using an hex. wrench and
then undo the complete upper plug
(14).
Note
Lock the adjuster on cartridge
(8) and then undo the plug (14).
Push the tool (B) down and remove
the spacer (D).
Remove the spacer (12) complete
with washer (13), the spring joint (11),
the dust seal (17) and the spring (10)
from the rod.
