Dirty or flawed drum.
Dirty developer section.
Poor contact of grounding ter-
minal of drum unit.

Defective exposure lamp.
Causes
Clean the contact glass.
Clean the slit glass.
Perform the drum refresh operation.
Flawed drum. Replace the drum unit (see page 1-5-15).
Replace the drum unit (see page 1-5-15).
Replace the intermediate transfer unit (see page 1-5-16).
Replace the transfer roller unit(see page 1-5-16).
Clean the scanner mirror.
Causes
Perform the drum refresh operation.

section.
Check the installation of the drum unit. If it operates incor-
