2.7.359 SD-L
An SD Line condition is similar to the
level of the SONET signal and travels on the B2 byte of the SONET overhead.
An SD-L on an Ethernet or OC-N card does not cause a protection switch. If the alarm is reported on a
card that has also undergone a protection switch, the SD BER count continues to accumulate. The
condition is superseded by higher-priority alarms such as the
"LOF (OCN)" alarm on page
