2.7.256 LPBKTERMINAL (G1000)
A Loopback Terminal condition for the G1000 occurs when a software terminal (inward) loopback is
active for a port on the reporting G-Series Ethernet card.
When a port in terminal (inward) loopback, its outgoing signal is redirected into the receive direction on
the same port, and the externally received signal is ignored. On the G1000-4 card, the outgoing signal is
not transmitted; it is only redirected in the receive direction.
For more information about troubleshooting Ethernet circuits, refer to the
Ethernet Circuit Paths With Loopbacks" section on page
CTC permits loopbacks on an in-service (IS) circuit. Loopbacks are Service-Affecting (SA).
