Enables the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol on a bridge
• <0-15> (priority <0-61440>) – Set the bridge priority for
an MST instance to the value specified. Use the no
parameter with this command to restore the default
bridge priority value.
• priority – Sets the bridge priority for the
common instance.
• <0-61440> – Defines the bridge priority in
increments of 4096 (Lower priority indicates
greater likelihood of becoming root).
The default value of the priority for each
instance is
• cisco-interoperability (enale|disable) – Enables/disables
interoperability with Cisco's version of MSTP
(incompatible with standard MSTP).
• enable – Enables CISCO Interoperability.
• disable – Disables CISCO Interoperability.
• configuration – Multiple spanning tree configuration.

• forward-time <4-30> – Sets the time (in seconds) after
which (if this bridge is the root bridge) each port changes
states to learning and forwarding. This value is used by
all instances. The default value is
• hello-time <1-10> – Sets the hello-time. The hello-time
is the time (in seconds) after which (if this bridge is the
root bridge) all the bridges in a bridged LAN exchange
Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs). A very low value
leads to excessive traffic on the network, while a higher
value delays the detection of a topology change. This
value is used by all instances. The default value is
seconds.
